Dominika Benkowska-Biernacka

She completed her master’s degree in Master Molecular nano- and bio-photonics for telecommunications and biotechnologies at École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay. In her thesis, she investigated cross-talking interaction in plasmonic-photochromic nanomaterials in the Supramolecular and Molecular Photophysics and Photochemistry Laboratory.

Currently she is a PhD student enrolled in the BioTechNan program at the WUST. She works under the supervision of Professor Katarzyna Matczyszyn in the Advanced Materials Engineering and Modelling Group. Her main research domain is in analysis of lyotropic liquid crystal. She is also interested in applications of nanomaterials in biological systems.

Outside the lab, she enjoys traveling and listening to live music.
