The first meeting of PhoBiA in new academic year (2010/2011) is taking place on 25th November, 2010 at 3 a.m. We are gathering in Tawerna (A-0) to discus plans for next year. All PhoBiA mambers as well as all of you who want to join PhoBiA or simply get to know more about us are kindly invited.
Prof. M. Humphrey in Wroclaw
We want to invite you all to the seminary of prof. Mark Humphrey from ANU in Canberra, Australia, which will tell us about cluster chemistry: “Towards Oligoclusters — Chemistry and Properties”. Seminary is taking place at WUT, in building A-3, room 220 on April 16, 2010. More details on the poster.

PhoBiA is organizing a conference! PhoBiA Annual Nanophotonics International Conference “PANIC” will take place in Wroclaw, from 28 to 30 April 2010. More details you can find here. There is one month left to register and send us an abstract, so make up your mind and write to us!

Woren conference
First Polish – French Workshop on Organic Electronics and Nanophotonics organized by Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry and Institute of Physics from Wrcolaw University of Technology took place in Świeradów Zdrój. A strong representation of PhoBiA participated in the event with four posters and oral presentation of our supervisor dr Katarzyna Matczyszyn.
PhoBiA and OM-in-nano meeting
For all interested in meeting interesting people and broadening the scientific contacts – on Saturday, May 23rd there will be a meeting of PhoBiA members with the initiative OM-in-nano group. The meeting will take place in Wisznia Mala. How to get right to the place you can see here. If you are going by bus here you have the timetable of buses to Trzebnica, and exact position of the bus stop in Wisznia Mala.
OM-in-nano (“Organometallics in nanophotonics”) is a project which will be carried out at the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at Wroclaw University of Technology. As we can read on the webpage – this project will combine the experience in tailoring optical response of organometallics with the nanophotonics/biophotonics perspective and – it is currently seeking students (after the third year of studies), PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. IV International SPIE Students’ Chapters Meeting, Torun, Poland
This year IV International SPIE Students’ Chapters Meeting is organized by SPIE student chapter from Torun from 14 – 16 May, 2009 in Torun. As one can read on the webpage, the conference concerns all branches of optics, all topics, including optical metrology, industrial and medical applications are most welcome. Everyone is invited, not only SPIE student members! After the organizers – we also want to encourage you to take part in this event!

VII KNS 2009
New edition of VII Student Scientific Conference will take place at WUT from 18th to 20th May 2009. We invite all the PhoBiA members to participate in this event, which is a nice experience and good beginning in the scientific career. 11th International Conference Electrical and Related Properties of Organic Solids (ERPOS 11)
From 13th to 17th July 2008 in Piechowice (POLAND) the ERPOS 11 conference took place. The conference was organized by the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry of Wroclaw University of Technology with the help of PhoBiA members. Six of us took part in the conference (M. Banski, I. Bulik, P. Hanczyc, J. Kurzawa, J. Olesiak, M. Ziemienczuk) and presented four posters during the poster session. Moreover, K. Matczyszyn, our supervisor, and M.
