This event will take place in the meantime of PANIC Summer School 2023, so you will have an amazing chance to meet experts and great young scientists from many fields, as well as, listen to some lectures given by invited speaker of PANIC Summer School 2023!

And the most import thing – participation in the symposium is completely FREE 🙂

☢️If you’re interested in nanophotonics, nanotechnology, or biotechnology this conference is for you. During the summer school (15-19.05.2023), you will have the opportunity to listen to more than 30h of introductory lectures given by prominent scientists from all around Europe.

We are looking for:
✅️20 PhD students from Doctoral School of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
✅️20 PhD students outside Doctoral School of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.

You will be able to present your research in:

First PhoBiA meeting in the new academic year 2022/2023

On Friday, November 4, an organizational-integration meeting of the PhoBiA association took place. During the meeting, we discussed the upcoming projects like organization of next scientific conference or photo contest as well as plans for the coming months. Afterward the official part of the meeting – members of PhoBiA relaxed together while playing card games 🙂

Podsumowanie projektu “Nie wszystko złoto co się świeci – cykl wystaw fotografii naukowej na ulicach miasta Wrocławia”

W związku ze zbliżającym się terminem zakończenia projektu Nie wszystko złoto co się świeci – cykl wystaw fotografii naukowej na ulicach miasta Wrocławia, który przypada na dzień 31 grudnia 2021 roku chcieliśmy podzielić się sprawozdaniem z przebiegu projektu.Projekt skupiał się przede wszystkim na działalności popularyzatorskiej i edukacyjnej, realizowanej poprzez organizację trzech wystaw fotografii naukowej. Wystawy prezentowały prace nadesłane przez studentów, doktorantów i młodych naukowców w ramach międzynarodowego konkursu MANIAC 2020 oraz 2021, a ekspozycje zostały zorganizowane z okazji Dolnośląskiego Festiwalu Nauki 2020 oraz 2021 a także Międzynarodowego Dnia Światła 2021.
W sprawozdaniu podsumowujemy między innymi harmonogram realizacji projektu, podjęte działania promocyjne, wyniki ewaluacji oddziaływania społecznego wystaw a także stwierdzamy czy udało się osiągnąć założone cele.

MANIAC 2020 is postponed till september!

Dear scientists with artistic souls!

Due to pandemic situation across the world, MANIAC 2020 contest is postponed till the late September. Thus, the deadline for sending us your photos is also postponed – till the 23rd of August! (And it’s profitable too, there are rewards waiting for the best scientific photos 😉 )

The exhibition of selected photos will take place from 18th September to 1st October 2020 on one of the main parts of the Wrocław Old City – Oławska street! So if You ever wondered about visiting this beautiful city of bridges and dwarves, seeing the MANIAC 2020 exhibition may be the best moment to do so!

!IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Due to global pandemic crisis we, the PhoBiA association, have made a decision to postpone our PANIC 2020 conference till september/october this year. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope we will see You all in the early autumn with new fresh ideas, research data and enthusiasm.
However, to ensure everyone interested in nanoscience, regardless his/her place of living, could join our conference, we are now working towards making PANIC 2020 also an online experience! 

We hope to see You all in good health in september!

MANIAC is back!: 2nd Microscope Art Non-limited International Annual Contest

Dear Students, PhD Students and Researchers,
Due to the pandemic situation, we postponed the MANIAC competition and exhibition: 
You can send your photographs until 15 July and the exhibiton will take place from 18 September to 1 October 2020 in the town square (Rynek) of Wrocław
Don’t give up the new chance to win!
  We remind you the rules: 
1. The photograph can be taken using any microscope and may present any object. The effect counts!
  2. The photograph should be prepared according to following guidelines:
  Scale: 1:1, resolution: 150-200 dpi, CMYK color model, all layers flattened, all fonts in italic, saved as PDF, Tiff or eps. No bleeds. Please add title and the type of microscope used in English in the e-mail, NOT IN THE PHOTOGRAPH!
  and sent to the adress: phobia@pwr.edu.pl
Deadline: 15 July 2020!
  3. The exhibition will take place from 18 September to 1 October 2020 in the town square of Wrocław so that not only scientists but all Wrocław citizens and guests may admire the photographs!
  4. The results will be announced soon after the end of the exhibition.
